Job Description

Employee will be responsible for working on design and implementation and also include maintenance of simple and complex networking systems.  Must be able to work with client or program manager along with a team to deliver a working and maintainable network system for various applications.

• Implement and support VMware and/or other hypervisor server solutions.
• Support remote user access to system resources over VPN and/or VDI access
• Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Support compliance with relevant cybersecurity controls and organizational standards.
• Experience in working directly with Developers, and Business Users.
• Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

B.S. Degree Computer Science or Information Technology from as accredited school/university and 0-3 plus years of system administration experience with software determined by the company or client.  Years of experience and relevant certifications may be substituted for education.

Employee must have progressive experience at the intermediate or complex system administrator's level. Ability to consult with IS staff and clients in regard to design, implementation, and maintenance of Network Systems

Experience supporting Windows and Linux servers in both bare metal and virtualized environments.

Extensive experience in applying the concepts, practices, and procedures related to Systems Admin work. 

Knowledge of basic system administration to include ports, firewalls, web applications, cloud infrastructure, PowerShell and Windows server environment.

Platforms: Windows Server, Linux, VMware

Experience in working directly with Developers and Business Users.

Have a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
