Job Description

This position will support the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System Directorate (ICBMSD) Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) program and the Wave Relay Tactical Assault Kit (WaRTAK) program.  The RVA system provides real-time and historical video for situational awareness at ICBM Launch Facilities, enabling SFs to tailor an appropriate response. The WaRTAK system provides ICBM security force convoy operations a situational awareness through active video feeds, text chat, and audio traffic.

Both programs are in the sustainment phase of their lifecycle.  The RVA is operated and maintained through a Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) contract.  The WaRTAK is operated by the Air Force and maintained through a CLS contract. 

Duties will include providing expert advice and support to the Air Force program managers for both systems throughout the acquisition and sustainment cycle. Specifically, this team member will review projects and budgets status, manage schedules and prepare status reports, and ensure alignment between task and strategic objectives. The project manager will assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Interacts frequently with internal and external management and customer representatives concerning the programs, operational decisions, contracts, and strategies

Job Requirements

  • BS in technical field and at least 10 years Project Management experience.
  • Customer relations management expertise including aligning customer priorities and objectives to strategic direction and tasks
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with customers and company personnel
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems involving internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have US Citizenship and current (investigation closed within the past 6 years) Secret or higher security clearance
  • Understanding of Life Cycle Management such as fielding and maintaining security and communications systems using CLS contracts.
  • This position requires US Citizenship and an active SECRET clearance

     

    Preferred Skills

  • Air Force program office experience providing program/project management and/or technical/engineering management with a working knowledge of DoD and Air Force acquisition experience/accreditation or equivalent.
  • Experience with integrating requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables using systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition directives (DoDI 5000.01 and DoDI 5000.2) as well as any other relevant U.S. law, DoD, CJCS, United States Air Force (USAF), or other Service Component, directive, policy, instruction, or guide
  • Familiarity with Air Force Life Cycle Management (AFI 63-101/20-101)
  • Working knowledge of security and/or communications systems (e.g., fiber optics, Radio Frequency (RF), SATCOM), protocols, and capabilities is a plus

      Prior experience working with classified systems
