Job Description:

Pro2Serve is seeking a Test Engineer/Analyst to provide technical expertise in support of the Department of Homeland Security’s Domestic Nuclear Detection Office’s Assessments Directorate. The candidate will be a part of a team providing Test and Evaluation (T&E) and analysis of radiation detectors in support of acquisition decisions. This ensures that agencies charged with protecting our ports and borders have the best possible devices for detecting illicit nuclear materials that could pose a threat to the American people.

A qualified candidate will be able to support test planning, analysis, and reporting efforts. Must be able to work independently, as well as work in dynamic team environments.

The ideal candidate should have a test and evaluation background and be proficient using analytical tools to perform data analysis and write technical documentation.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

  • Develop requirements and identify the data elements needed for test execution. Collaborate with the data collection team to ensure that all required data has been identified and ensure that all test objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with DNDO, DHS components, and National Laboratories to plan and execute test events.
  • Apply systems engineering methodology in support of T&E.
  • Writing technical documents to include analysis plans, test plans, and test reports in both MS Word and LaTeX typesetting program.
  • Statistically analyzing and developing visual representation of test data using common analysis/visual software suites (e.g. MATLAB, JMP, DIAdem, Excel, etc.)
  • Provide on-site test support.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a DOD Secret security clearance and be able to obtain DHS fitness/suitability.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years or an Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, system design, system test and evaluation, engineering, modeling and simulations, operational analysis, or vulnerability and systems effectiveness.
  • Ability to analyze data and display results in a meaningful way (graphics, tables, diagrams, etc.)
  • Excellent written, communication, presentation, and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience operating/testing radiation detection equipment highly desirable
  • Proficient in the use of analytical tools (e.g. MATLAB, JMP, Excel, etc.) to analyze and visualize data is highly desirable

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent re-investigations may be required.
