Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Science from an accredited college or university

  • Twenty years’ experience in NCS, including development of NCSE’s or directly applicable experience

  • Recent working knowledge of MCNP, KENO or similar models and use of double contingency principle

  • Knowledge of DOE and nuclear industry criticality safety standards and requirements safety evaluations, and facility safety basis documents to ensure that applicable DOE and nuclear industry requirements are met

  • Experience in principles of nuclear physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanics of materials, and the ability to read process and equipment drawings

  • Experience in supporting DOE operations and design

  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with fellow employees and client personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  NRC experience
  • Nuclear facility experience

  • D&D, D&R, S&M project experience

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
