Job Description

Employee will use their experience in software development and management to plan, direct and manage the daily operations of a software development tea.  Employee will mentor and share knowledge with team members on software development best practices. Contribute to the design, implementation and enhancement of company and client software and programming applications.

Manage, develop and execute unit test cases for code written and modeling for projects as directed.  Requires expert knowledge of software development best practices and a wide degree of creativity and latitude.  Reports to an upper level manager or executive team.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
?Proven leadership experience managing software teams or departments
?Software Support and Maintenance:Provide end user support and problem diagnosis and resolution for deployed versions of company and client software.Develop maintenance releases and/or patches as determined necessary by Project Managers.
?Planning and managing software design
?Builds and maintains working relationships with clients, vendors, and company management.
?Prepares reports for upper management
?Experience establishing and implementing department policies and procedures
?Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
?Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Employee will use their 10 plus years of experience in Software Development and Management and will require a B.S. Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Information Technology or other degrees from as accredited school/university. 

Preferred Skill Sets
?Proven leadership experience managing software development staff between 4 to 20 employees.
?Create and maintain a team working environment conducive to planning, creating, managing, and maintaining team productivity to create programming code to meet software development goals.
?Builds and maintains working relationships with clients and vendors
?Prepares department reports for upper management
?Experience setting team goals, maintaining operations and efficiencies, and making recommendations as needed or requested.
?Experience establishing and implementing department policies and procedures

 

Computer-Related Skill Sets:

Software Development Technologies: C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQH Serve, Windows Forms, Azure DevOps

Software Development Best Practices: Software design patterns, continuous integration\deployment, pull requests - code review process, distributed source control

InVizion employees receive 10 paid holidays annually.

 

Flexible Benefits Plan

InVizion offers a flexible benefits plan to professionals who average working 20 hours or more per week on a regular ongoing basis. Eligibility for Medical and Dental require average of 30 hours per a week. Participants in the plan may pay for benefits with pre-tax dollars under IRS Section 125.

Plan choices are:

  • Major Medical Plan with Prescription Card and Dental and Vision Plans. Pro2Serve participates in the best medical, dental, and vision plans available in today’s changing environment.
  • Professionals averaging 20 hours or more per week on a regular ongoing basis are eligible to purchase voluntary life insurance with pre-tax dollars under the flexible benefits plan. The company also provides long-term disability coverage for professionals averaging 20 hours or more per week on a regular on-going basis. Short-term disability coverage is available to eligible employees to purchase with post-tax dollars under the flexible benefits plan.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts. InVizion offers professionals, who qualify to participate in the Section 125 Plan, the opportunity to establish a medical and/or dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). These accounts are set aside with pre-tax dollars to pay dependent care expenses and/or medical bills such as day care, medical and dental deductibles, co-pays, and optical and orthodontic care.

 

Retirement Plan

New employees can enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan the first of the month after date of hire. InVizion matches the first 3 percent of contributions at 100 percent and the next 2 percent of contributions at 50 percent (4 percent match possible). InVizion contributions made after January 1, 2004 are fully-vested immediately.

 

Comprehensive Leave

Employees earn Comprehensive Leave, which may be used for vacation, illness, or personal time off. Accrual rates vary based upon years of service.
